Acceptance of any changes to this Agreement is automatically assumed unless the User closes their account with WikiComponents which is the only option they have to reject the pending amendments.
It is entirely the Users responsibility to ensure their current email address is correct in the WikiComponents user profile and that emails sent from the WikiComponents domain are not blocked by any filtering applications.
WikiComponents Content Policy
WikiComponents is group effort to create the world’s largest library of electronic component data.
Users must expect that their work product may be modified by and used by many different Users for many different applications.
Users do not retain any proprietary interest in any of the work product they donate to WikiComponents and hereby releases WikiComponents to provide said work product to any individual, company, governmental agency, not for profit organization, or any entity of any type with absolutely no restrictions whatsoever.
All Users hereby expressly grant WikiComponents a worldwide royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, fully sub-licensable, non-exclusive right to use, reproduce, modify, translate, adapt, publish, create derivative works, transmit, distribute, display and delete such content (in whole or in part) and/or to incorporate such content in other works in any form, media or technology now known or hereafter developed.
WikiComponents retains all rights to the site design, the proprietary software which is critical to the use of the site and the proprietary data structures which the core data is stored in.
WikiComponents delivers the data contained within its site in multiple vector formats which the Users may use for any purpose they desire unless said purpose is in competition to the business activities of WikiComponents.
WikiComponents does not police any data which is contained within it’s site and therefore provides no warranty as to correctness or suitability for any use whatsoever.
Users Obligations
Users herby agree to not do any of the following while using WikiComponents:
- Violate any applicable law, statute, ordinance or regulation
- Post or transmit any content that they do not have the right to post or transmit under any law, contractual duty or fiduciary relationship
- Post or transmit any content that infringes a third party’s intellectual property, rights or privacy
- Post or transmit any content that is unlawful, untrue, intentionally incorrect, libelous, defamatory, abusive or otherwise objectionable
- Post or transmit any content which is harmful, including but not limited to viruses, corrupted files or any similar software or programs designed to cause harm
- Access, tamper with or use non-public areas of the site. Any unauthorized access to non-public areas of WikiComponents may be subject to prosecution
Intellectual Property Policy
WikiComponents respects the intellectual property of other and expects all Users of the site to do the same.
Pursuant to 17 United States Code 512 ( c ) ( 2 ) (Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998), WikiComponents designated notice of alleged copyright infringement appearing on our site shall be our normal contact email listed as part of our Privacy Policy.
To file a notice of infringement with us, you need to fulfill the requirements specified in Title II of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998. The text of this statute can be found at the U.S. Copyright Office web site.

Limitation of Liabilities
OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO USERS FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SITE OR THE SITE CONTENT IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100 US).
NEITHER WikiComponents NOR ANY OTHER PARTY INVOLVED IN CREATING, PRODUCING, OR DELIVERING THE SITE SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO, OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE AND THE SITE CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE KNOW OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
